Lupiko vs. Apple Screen Time
Screen Time is built into every iPhone, so why use another app? Short answer: Screen Time is great at showing you the problem. Lupiko is built to help you change it.

What Screen Time does well
Screen Time is free, private and already on your phone. It shows your daily average, your most used apps, how often you pick up your phone and which apps send the most notifications. Its weekly report is a good reality check, and parents can use it to manage a child’s device.
Where Screen Time falls short
When you set limits for yourself, the limit screen offers “Ignore limit”, with options like one more minute or the rest of the day. When you’re tired and the feed is calling, that button is one tap away, so the limit quietly stops working. A Screen Time passcode fixes this, but setting a passcode for yourself is awkward: you either know it or have to ask someone else to keep it.
Screen Time also doesn’t know when you struggle. You have to design your own rules, and it doesn’t celebrate progress in a way that keeps you motivated.
What Lupiko adds
A plan for your danger hours. Lupiko asks when you usually lose control and suggests a daily block for exactly those hours.
A block screen without a way around it. It has one button, “Close app”. To open a blocked app, you have to go into Lupiko and switch the block off on purpose.
Focus now. Start a focus session and block your picked apps right away, even outside your daily block.
Motivation you can see. A brain score and Lupiko the mascot reflect your habits, so progress feels real.
Lupiko is built on the same Apple Screen Time framework, so your usage data stays on your device just like it does with Screen Time.
Which one should you use?
If you only want to know your numbers, Screen Time is enough. If you’ve tried limits before and kept tapping “Ignore”, Lupiko is built for you. Many people use both: Screen Time to measure, Lupiko to change.
